Shimal Tea

We are a small family brand, born out of a lifelong passion for tea and its artisanal production.

For as long as we can remember, the aroma of freshly brewed black tea has filled our home. The dream of one day wandering through the lush green fields of Camellia sinensis ourselves first took us to Ceylon - but it was the tea bushes in the misty heights of the Himalayas that sparked our true love of artisan teas. From then on, we traveled to tea regions all over the world to discover the secrets of tea production.

Along the way, we have forged close partnerships with smallholder tea growers and producers. Their dedication inspires us to make their work more visible and share their skills with people who value tea as much as we do.

Our aim was to promote the unique teas of our partners - while paying fair prices for their work. In this way, we contribute to sustainable agriculture and stable incomes for local communities, especially for women who are at the heart of artisanal tea cultivation and whose hands shape every leaf.

Every tea in our collection is personally selected: It comes from small gardens in misty high mountain regions, is firmly rooted in the terroir and is made by hand in small batches - with deep respect for nature and tradition. These teas are not only rich in flavor, but also rich in meaning.

Take a sip - and feel the craftsmanship in every cup.
