KOMEBUKURO Slate graphite
Inspired by Komebukuro - traditional Japanese rice bags - these travel bags were designed to protect delicate tea ceramics such as small teapots, gaiwane, shiboridashi or tea bowls.
Each travel bag is hand-sewn from vintage linen and natural cotton and gently dyed with botanicals in a palette of natural colors. Double-layered, softly padded walls and a square bottom are made of cotton fleece for extra protection. Inside, padded fabric dividers ensure that the individual parts of your tea set stay separate and neatly in place. The top of the bag is decorated with a hand-embroidered cord and is closed with a braided cord made of natural linen.
Handmade with love for tea and plants by Weronika Sędzimir vel Darnina - a textile artist and craftswoman from the Polish Beskids. She prefers to work with old linen, which carries its own history and which Weronika dyes with plants that she collects herself in the surrounding meadows and forests.
